Anyone can establish a blog. That’s easy. Populating a blog with a sizeable amount of good, solid content that will attract traffic (visitors) is the true challenge for ALL bloggers out there. To get that content, you need to write (or have someone write) your own articles.
First of all, when someone visits your blog, you’ll want them to:
1. Stick around for awhile and look over and read the articles. If they read the content (articles), they’ll make the content more worthwhile. Good articles that aren’t read aren’t good, because NO ONE knows if they’re any good!
2. Click on ads and links. Like a storeowner, you want your customers to browse. The longer they browse, the more likely they are to buy. The links and ads may mean money to you.
3. Return. Again, storeowners who get a lot of repeat business are more likely to be successful. If the content is good, entertaining and interesting, customers will come back. Not only that, they may subscribe to your rss feed. The rss feed is kind of like a sales paper. Visitors get a message in their rss feeder telling them you’ve got new content.”Come on in and see!” Once you’ve got a relationship with them, they will.
4. Tell others about you. It’s been said that word-of-mouth is the best form of communication. Not only that, it’s the best endorsement. When visitors tell others about your blog, you simply get more visitors. More browsing. More clicks on links and ads. That translates to more money. Good job! Now keep up with the good work, else all your good work will be undone.
As you can see, articles are the lifeblood of your blog, therefore your business’ lifeblood as well. Interesting and entertaining articles attract visitors. They stay, return, click and even refer your blog to others. This is all based on the quality of your content. Content is truly king.
